Christian Communications Centre

The Christian Communications Centre was founded in 1982, as a teaching centre and a ministry service to provide VEA Ministries with technical support in media, production, organizational management of conferences, seminars and workshops, as well as publishing and publications. Since its founding, these services have been made available to all programs and services of VEA Ministries, including the Church On the Rock, and the Hope Centre.

Services also include advertising, marketing, copy-writing, and creative consultation. Most noted of the Centre's activities were the all-Ontario and regional Holy Spirit Conferences held from 1987 to 1993, when thousands gathered to experience the presence of the Holy Spirit in what was known as the Charismatic Renewal.

The Centre also organized home video cells, as a weekly teaching initiative to gather as a group for informed Biblical teaching, selected from a wide range of national and international ministries. The centre managed many such video cells throughout south-western Ontario from 1983 -1993. Gerrit Verstraete "made the rounds" of all video cells on a weekly basis to teach, equip, and encourage local leadership.

In 1989, the Centre began the International Bible Correspondence School with affiliates in Canada, USA, Philippines, Portugal, Ghana, India, and New Zealand. In 1993, when correspondence declined as a means for distance studies, IBCS declined as well. See MILESTONES page for other significant dates.
